Lugares históricos

Los lugares emblemáticos de cada país están determinados por su historia. En
todo el mundo existen lugares que hablan de la vida y cultura de las sociedades,
sitios como pirámides, fuertes, catedrales, puentes, prisiones, entre otros, hablan
de camino de la humanidad a través del tiempo.
En muchos casos, las guerras o la necesidad de crear nuevas construcciones han
hecho que los vestigios arquitectónicos desaparezcan. A pesar de esto, aún es
posible conocer muchos de estos lugares.
Ejemplos:
• Alcratraz Island was a prison. It is located in San Francisco Bay.
• We had lunch at Luxembourg gardens.
• Mayan temples are impressive.
• St. Paul’s Cathedral is in London.
