 Usas can para hablar sobre tus habilidades cognitivas y sociales o capacidades físicas. 

Capacidades físicas:
I can do gymnastics   ( puedo hacer gimnasia)
Karen and Mark can jump the rope    (Karen y Mark Pueden saltar la cuerda)

Habilidades sociales:
My brother can make friends easily. He is very sociable.  ( Mi hermano puede hacer amigos fácilmente es muy sociable)
Janet can give good presentations. Therefore many people buy her products. ( Janet puede dar buenas presentaciones, por lo tanto mucha gente compra sus productos)

Habilidades cognitivas: 
Kevin can do a crosswords very fast.  ( Kevin puede hacer crucigramas muy rápido)
My teacher can remember all my classmates´ names.  ( mi maestra puede recordar los nombres de todos mis compañeros de clase)

Solicitar permisos para pedir algo o dar permisos:
Can I go to the party?      (Puedo ir a la fiesta?
Can do you me a favor?  (me puedes hacer un favor?)
Can you be quiet?           (Podrías quedarte quieto?)
Can I smoke in this room?  ( Puedo fumar en esta habitación?)

Estructura gramatical para emplear el verbo “can” en una oración negativa.

Para hacer una pregunta se pone  CAN al principio de la oración, como se muestra en los siguientes ejemplos:

*Can he play baseball?

*Can she dance?

*Can they sing?

Recuerda para colocar el signo de pregunta es solamente al final

      Para responder afirmativamente

 a una pregunta se hace de la siguiente manera:

* Can he play baseball?  Yes he can

* Can she dance?            Yes she can

* Can they sing?              yes they can

Para responder negativamente
 a una pregunta se hace de la siguiente manera:

* Can he play baseball?  No, he can´t

* Can she dance?            No she can´t

* Can they sing?              No they can´t
